Itinerary
DAY 01:
City Tour of Arequipa – Full Day
09:00 or 14:00 hrs We will pick you up from hotels located in the city center of Arequipa to begin our tour.
Our first stop will be the District of Yanahuara where we can take photos at the famous Portales de Yanahuara with the Misti volcano in the background. We will also see the Church of this traditional district.
Next, we will head to our second stop, which is the Carmen Alto Viewpoint. From there, you can appreciate the terracing of the district and the three volcanoes that we have in Arequipa: Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu.
Then, we will proceed to the third stop, which is the Incalpaca Mini Zoo. Admission is free, and we can observe the four South American camelids (Llama, Alpaca, Vicuña, and Guanaco).
Our fourth stop is the Mansion of the Founder, a colonial house that has been converted into a museum and houses important relics of the history of the city of Arequipa. Admission is optional but recommended due to its historical richness.
We will visit the fifth stop, the Sabandia Mill, where you can see a functioning water mill and a mini zoo inside. If you prefer to stay outside, there are optional activities such as horseback riding, ATV rides, ziplining, and the opportunity to taste typical Arequipa cuisine.
Next, we will visit the Menelic Museum, where we will learn about the most famous bull in Arequipa, known for the numerous medals it has won. Afterward, we will return to the city center of Arequipa and drop you off near the Plaza de Armas.
