The tour of the city of Cusco is perfect for those who have recently arrived in the city or wish to explore it more intimately. Our tour starts at our main office in Cusco at 1:30 pm, where we will embark on a 10-minute walk to the fascinating Koricancha. Here, our expert guide will explain the significance of this attraction, highlighting the fusion of colonial and Inca art in the temple.
Next, we will board our comfortable bus to visit the impressive Sacsayhuaman, a site that showcases remarkable Inca stonework that may be even more awe-inspiring than Machu Picchu. You will be left wondering how such intricate stone architecture could be created by human hands.
Our tour continues to the mysterious caves of Qenqo, where the Incas performed sacrifices and rituals to their gods. Some believe that these chambers were also used for human sacrifices. From Qenqo, we will head to Pucapucara, a red-colored Inca construction that served as a strategic control point.
Our final stop is the serene Tambomachay, a site with beautiful water fountains where the Inca king used to spend his days relaxing and meditating. After exploring Tambomachay, we will return to Cusco around 6:00 pm.
